  • How long does my hair have to be to get waxed?
    In order to qualify as a good candidate for waxing, your hair should be at least 1/4 inch long or approximately the size of a grain of rice.
  • Should I trim or shave before my appointment?
    No! Do not trim or shave prior to your wax appointment.
  • How often should I wax?
    It depends on how fast or slow your hair grows and what your Waxologist recommends. Face Wax - Every 2 to 3 weeks Underarm Wax - Every 2 weeks Bikini Area - Every 4 to 6 weeks Additional Wax Services - Every 3 to 4 weeks
  • Can I get waxed if I'm taking medications?
    We highly recommend that you consult with the prescribing doctor if you have any questions. If you are using prescribed medications such as Retin-A, Differin, Accutane. . .etc., we can not wax you until you are cleared by your physician (only if you are using the medication on the area that you would like to wax). *It is your responsibility to update Wax & Unwine Staff about any changes in your medications that may interfere with your services*
  • Can I wax on my menstrual?
    Yes, you can as long as you wear a tampon.
  • Can I wax while pregnant?
    Yes, you can, however, we always recommend you get medical clearance from your OBGYN prior to getting waxed (but this is not required for us to wax you).
  • Do you offer services and discounts for teens?
    Yes, we offer a discount on select services for teens seventeen and under. Be sure to give us a call for more information.
  • Can I wax if my skin is irritated?
    No, we only recommend waxing on healthy skin.
  • Are the employee's doing my service licensed?
    Yes, all employees who service clients at Wax & Unwine are either licensed cosmetologists and/ or licensed estheticians.
  • How do I reschedule my appointment?
    To reschedule an existing appointment you must respond R to the confirmation text messages or call us at 973-457-2272; 24 hours prior to your appointment time to avoid being charged a late cancelation fee. To cancel an existing appointment you must call 973-457-2272; 24 hours prior to your appointment time to avoid being charged a late cancelation fee. *Late cancellation/ late rescheduling fees are automatically charged to the card on file. For first-time clients who choose to leave a deposit, the deposit can not be transferred to another appointment day/time and can not be refunded if the appointment is canceled/rescheduled after the 24hr cancellation/rescheduling time.
  • Do you take walk-ins?
    Walk-ins are not recommended, however, depending on our availability we may be able to accommodate you. We highly recommend that you always call first before trying to walk in, our hours and availability are subject to change.
  • I have additional questions that are not listed on your site, how can I get those questions answered?
    We'll be happy to assist you just give us a call and we'll answer any additional questions that you may have.
  • What are your business hours?
    We are typically open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 8 pm, Saturdays from 8 am to 5 pm and we are closed on Sundays.
  • Can I come in as a walk-in?
    Walk-ins are accepted if the time permits, however, appointments are highly recommended. It's best to always give us a call at 973-457-2272 prior to walking in.
  • Where exactly are you located?
    We are located at 19 Lincoln Avenue in Orange, NJ. We're about a 2 minute walk from Orange Train Station and Orange Post Office and directly across the street from Linc 32 Apartments.
  • How do I schedule an appointment?
